Maharashtra has increased the price of testing vehicles for pollution certificates.

A PUC certificate shows whether a vehicle’s emissions meet legal limits.

The new prices apply at authorised testing centres across the state.

Two-wheeler tests now cost Rs 60 instead of Rs 50.

Petrol three-wheeler tests now cost Rs 120 instead of Rs 100.

Petrol, CNG or LPG vehicle tests cost Rs 150, while diesel tests cost Rs 180.

The change followed a request from PUC centre owners and a review by a three-member committee.

Centres must show the prices, and officials will inspect them to prevent overcharging.
