Delhi High Court, Airport Receive Bomb Threats Before Independence Day
India celebrates Independence Day on August 15, when the country remembers becoming free.

People in Delhi were getting ready to celebrate when someone sent scary emails.
The emails said there would be a bomb at the Delhi High Court and the airport.
The sender said Delhi would be renamed 'Khalistan,' a name some people want for a special state.
Police and firefighters went to all the mentioned places and searched with sniffer dogs and bomb experts.
After searching, they found nothing dangerous, and officials said the threat looked fake.
Still, extra police are guarding the city, and Prime Minister Narendra Modi will speak from the Red Fort on the big day.
So far, no bombs have been found, and everyone is safe.
On Friday, August 14, bomb threats were emailed to the Delhi High Court, Indira Gandhi International Airport, and other Delhi locations a day before India's 80th Independence Day.
The anonymous email, sent in the name of Khalistan, warned of a blast at the Delhi High Court at 2:11 pm on Saturday, August 15, with district courts hit an hour later.
The email claimed the blasts were in response to cases against Sikhs being heard in Delhi courts and said Delhi would be converted into Khalistan.
Other threatened locations included Jamnagar House, the Jhandewalan building, a Saket office, the District Magistrate's Office, IGI Terminal 3, the SDM Office in Delhi Cantonment, the Delhi Metro, and trains bound for Ambala.
Delhi HC Joint Secretary Kunal said the threat appears to be fake; bomb squads and sniffer dogs scanned the premises and nothing suspicious has been found so far.
