DRI Seizes ₹2.74 Crore Drugs, Arrests Two Foreign Nationals
Officials from the Directorate of Revenue Intelligence received information about drugs being moved to Mumbai.
They said a Kenyan woman was carrying the drugs on a bus from Indore.
Officers stopped her in Mira Road and also intercepted a Nigerian man who allegedly came to receive the package.
They found two packets in the woman’s bag.
The packets contained 547 grams of substances that tested positive for cocaine and methaqualone.
The drugs were estimated to be worth ₹2.74 crore.
Both foreign nationals were arrested under India’s drug-control law.
Investigators are trying to find out where the drugs came from and whether other people were involved.
