Police in Hyderabad detained three people over the alleged sale of vapes and banned foreign cigarettes.

Officers said they acted after receiving information about the activity.

They raided a shop called Smokers.in in Srinagar Colony.

Police said they found 53 vapes, 10 bottles of liquid and 76 boxes of cigarettes.

The seized products were estimated to be worth about Rs 2 lakh.

The people were identified as Mohammed Muneer, Abdul Rahman Meehraj and Mohammed Eyas.

Police said Muneer and Meehraj ran the business while Eyas worked there.

Police also said the three had recently come to Hyderabad from Kerala.

The cigarettes were reportedly obtained from Mumbai and sold for illegal profits.
