Indore Police Probe Fake Tour and Property Fraud Cases
Two people in Indore have reported separate money-related frauds to the police.
In the first case, Pankaj Hirani found a travel page on Google that appeared to represent Thomas Cook.
He paid ₹1,93,800 for a family trip to the UK and Europe.
The people who took the money later stopped answering his calls when the visa was not processed.
Police are checking the phone number and bank details involved.
In the second case, Gaurav Choudhary paid ₹10 lakh as an advance for a plot.
He says the colony president and operator did not complete the sale or return his money.
Police have registered a case and are investigating both matters.
A property broker allegedly lost ₹1,93,800 to a fake travel website impersonating Thomas Cook.
The victim made two ₹96,900 payments through WhatsApp QR codes for a UK-Europe family tour.
The alleged fraudster stopped responding after the visa was reportedly not processed and a refund was requested.
Police also booked Lake Park Colony president Yashraj Tiwari and operator Maya Tiwari over an alleged ₹10 lakh property fraud.
The property complainant alleges the accused neither registered the plot nor handed over possession or refunded the advance.
