Naga villagers killed in suspected Kuki militant attack in Manipur
Early on a Friday morning, some villagers were walking to their rice fields when people with guns started shooting at them.
This happened in a small village called Langka, in a part of India called Manipur.
Two villagers, aged 35 and 54, died, and two others were hurt and needed treatment.
The village is home to a community called the Liangmai Nagas.
Their leaders believe the attackers were from a group called Kuki militants.
The leaders say they had warned the government many times that an attack might happen, but nobody listened.
Because they are sad and angry, the leaders asked all shops and schools in Liangmai Naga areas to close for a while.
Hospitals and fire stations were allowed to stay open to help people.
The village is about 65 kilometers from a big city called Imphal.
The community hopes the people who did this will be found and that everyone can be safe again.

The deceased were identified as Wiriliangbou Chawang, 35, and Kawidinang Abonmai, 54; the injured as Namthiulungbou Prinmai, 45, and Maliangjinang Abonmai, 50.
The LNC declared an Emergency Total Shutdown across all Liangmai Naga-inhabited areas of Manipur, with medical, fire and other essential services exempted.
