CBI Arrests Two BSNL Engineers Over ₹1.50 Lakh Bribe
The CBI says two BSNL engineers in Bhopal accepted bribes.
Each engineer allegedly took ₹75,000.
Together, the alleged bribe was ₹1.50 lakh.
The officers were identified as Awanish Kumar Shukla and VB Chakrapani.
They allegedly demanded ₹4 lakh from a company based in Jabalpur.
The company had completed maintenance and electrical work for BSNL.
The money was allegedly requested to process the company’s unpaid bills for 14 projects.
The CBI caught the officers during a planned trap and searched some of their homes and offices.

The officers allegedly demanded ₹4 lakh from a Jabalpur-based firm.
The demand was linked to processing pending bills for 14 BSNL works.
The CBI conducted searches at premises in Bhopal, Lucknow and Kanpur.
