Free UPSC Coaching Offered to SC, ST, BC Candidates

A free coaching programme is being offered to some SC, ST and BC students preparing for the UPSC Civil Services Examination.

There are 100 places in total.

Most places are reserved for ST candidates, followed by SC and BC candidates.

Students who are chosen will study in a residential programme in Hyderabad.

The coaching will help them prepare for three parts of the examination.

Students must meet age, education and family-income requirements.

Applications must be submitted online by September 23 at 6 pm.

The programme also provides food, accommodation, study materials and some pocket money.

Screening examination: September 27; General Studies Paper-I runs from 9 am to 11:30 am, and CSAT from 2:30 pm to 4:30 pm.
Eligibility age: At least 21 years old on August 1, 2026; maximum age is 32 for SC, ST and BC candidates and 35 for persons with disabilities.
Educational requirement: A degree or equivalent qualification from a recognised university with at least 50 per cent marks.
Income limit: Annual family income must not exceed Rs 3 lakh.
Benefits: Free food and accommodation, pocket money, notebooks, photocopy facilities, newspapers, library access and Rs 300 travel support for the UPSC Preliminary examination.
