Education Bus Yatra Demands Major Telangana School Reforms

A former education official says many schools in Telangana need major improvements.

He and other activists started a Bus Yatra to visit schools and speak with communities.

They say some schools do not have enough classrooms or teachers.

Many primary schools have one teacher teaching several grades.

Parents often choose private schools even though the fees can be difficult to afford.

The activists want schools to be safe, clean and respectful places for children.

They also want public schools that take children from nursery through Class 12.

They are asking the government to set clear standards, make a plan and spend more money on education.
