CISCE Launches Student Mental Health Initiative for October-November
CISCE is starting a program to help students talk about mental health.
Schools will take part during October and November.
Students in Classes VI to XII will have one discussion each week for four weeks.
Teachers will guide conversations about stress, feelings, digital life, drugs and healthy choices.
They will also discuss how students can become stronger and ask for help.
Schools will share what they learn and describe useful mental health practices.
Some students and teachers will take part in online regional meetings and a national meeting.
The program will use student ideas to help create a plan for healthier and kinder schools.

More than 3,300 affiliated schools will hold weekly classroom discussions for students in Classes VI to XII.
Topics include academic stress, emotional well-being, digital life, substance abuse, resilience and help-seeking.
Selected students and teachers will join regional online conclaves before a national conclave in November.
The initiative aims to develop a student mental health and well-being index and publish 10 outstanding school practices.
