A three-year-old tigress died while receiving care at Kanha Tiger Reserve in Madhya Pradesh.

Officials said she was not originally from the reserve.

A patrol team found her very weak on August 26.

Veterinarians began supervising her care the next day.

During treatment, she showed symptoms of a disease called Canine Distemper Virus.

The report does not say that the disease was confirmed as the cause of her death.

Veterinarians examined her after she died.

They sent samples to a laboratory in Jabalpur for testing, and the tigress was cremated.
