Six migrants reported missing in Chiapas located in the United States
Six foreign migrants who had been reported missing in Chiapas, Mexico, were located in the United States after Mexican and US authorities exchanged information.
Mexico’s Chiapas state prosecutor’s office said the US Border Patrol agency provided information indicating that the six had entered the United States irregularly.
They are from Honduras, Guatemala, El Salvador and Colombia.
Their missing-person reports were filed between 2016 and 2023.
The prosecutor’s office asked to cancel the search notices issued for them, but did not say when or how they were identified.
It also did not say whether they are still in the United States or whether authorities contacted them directly.
