Furnished rental landlords in France must use an approved e-invoicing platform
Since 1 September 2026, all landlords who rent out furnished homes in France must join a platform approved by the tax authority.
The platform manages the sending and receipt of electronic invoices and the exchange of related data with businesses and the tax administration.
Landlords need a Siren business identification number to receive invoices through the system.
Those who do not have one must first register their activity with France’s national business registry.
They must also give their Siren number to suppliers so invoices can pass between platforms.
Some purchases will still produce ordinary invoices by email or post, including purchases from individuals and some small businesses.
For landlords using the real tax regime, expenses remain deductible whatever the invoice format.
