Test compares nine smart thermostats for underfloor heating

Smart thermostats can control underfloor heating through apps and connect it to smart-home systems.

A test of nine models rated Tado X 2nd Gen best overall, Homematic IP best for technology and Meross best value.

They can help people warm their homes before returning, but underfloor heating takes time to respond.

The amount of energy saved depends on the building and how it is used.
