V’landys backs Bears coaches after CEO resigns

The Perth Bears are preparing to join the rugby league competition as its 18th team in 2027.

Their CEO, Anthony De Ceglie, has resigned after losing the board’s support.

Peter V’landys says head coach Mal Meninga and assistant Ben Gardiner get along and can work well together.

The Bears’ board will choose the next CEO, while the club prepares for its first pre-season.
