Art Garfunkel postpones four UK shows after respiratory infection diagnosis
Art Garfunkel has postponed four concerts on his “What A Wonderful World” UK tour after being diagnosed with a respiratory infection.
The 84-year-old singer was due to perform in Watford, Manchester, Wolverhampton and London in October.
He said the diagnosis followed a doctor’s appointment he kept during rehearsals, and his doctor advised him to rest and recover.
Garfunkel is best known as one half of the duo Simon & Garfunkel, alongside Paul Simon.
The venues are working to reschedule the shows, and ticket holders have been told to keep their tickets while new dates are arranged.
Garfunkel said he hopes to return to the stage when his health allows.
His next currently listed concert is in Paris on October 21.
