NetEase’s New Shooter Draws Warzone Comparisons and Interest From Some Fans

NetEase Games has revealed ECC: Redline, a new shooter for PC and mobile devices.

The China-based company describes it as an extreme-sports tactical shooter.

Many players say its guns, interface, sound effects and camera movements closely resemble Call of Duty: Warzone.

Some have called it a copy, while others note that it adds characters with abilities and gadgets.

Warzone’s popularity has risen and fallen since its 2019 launch, and many fans still miss its early version and the map Verdansk.

Activision has brought Verdansk back, but that has not ended fans’ nostalgia for the past.

Some players say ECC: Redline could appeal to them if it plays well and responds to its community, but no further plans are given.

Looks like someone reverse-engineered OG Warzone and added character abilities. I’m actually kinda interested in trying this 😅

If ECC: Redline actually has good servers, movement, AND listens to its community… COD might finally have to start trying again,
