Vetrix 2026 backs student ideas in veterinary science and animal husbandry
Vetrix 2026 brought students, researchers and aspiring entrepreneurs together in Mannuthy, in Thrissur district, to develop business ideas linked to veterinary science and animal husbandry.
Kerala Agricultural University’s K-AgTech LaunchPad and the Kerala Veterinary and Animal Sciences University organised the national-level event.
Participants presented 30 ideas across three themes.
Richard Sabu’s team from Sahodaya College of Engineering and Technology won the first prize of ₹10,000 and a certificate.
The LaunchPad will also provide the team with incubation support to help develop its idea into a possible business.
The event aimed to turn innovation into ventures that could support farmers and the livestock sector.
Organisers said collaboration between the two universities could lead to further joint ventures and initiatives.
