Atmane apologises after throwing racket into stands at Shanghai Masters

Atmane threw his racket into the stands during a match against Bernard Tomic at the Shanghai Masters.

He apologised afterwards and said pressure and physical health problems had affected him, though he said they did not excuse his behaviour.

Rennae Stubbs said the umpire should have disqualified him.

The incident has raised concerns about protecting spectators and enforcing rules when players act dangerously.
