Swiss community poll narrowly backs easing weapons export rules

Switzerland is voting on a law that would make some weapons exports easier.

In an SRF community poll, 52% supported the change, but the poll was not representative of the public.

Supporters say looser rules could help businesses, jobs and the country’s defence industry.

Opponents say exports could weaken Switzerland’s neutrality and involve it in conflicts.
