India proposes digital map to guide spice production and exports

The Bharat Spice Map is a proposed digital tool for gathering information about India’s spice resources.

It aims to help farmers and businesses match what they grow and make with what markets need.

Officials say this could support higher-value products, stronger exports and less avoidable reliance on imports.

The plan was discussed at a seminar in Kochi.
