India extends highway cost compensation for bitumen and diesel by three months

Building highways costs more when key materials and fuel become expensive.

India’s road transport ministry has extended payments to help cover higher bitumen and diesel costs through December 31, 2026.

The support applies to certain projects whose bids were due before April 1, 2026.

It is intended to help construction and maintenance continue.
