Netanyahu condemns Houthi attack on Riyadh airport that killed 12

A Houthi missile attack struck King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, on Saturday.

Saudi authorities said 12 people were killed and 309 were injured.

The Houthis are an Iran-backed group fighting Yemen’s internationally recognized government, which Saudi Arabia supports.

The strike was described as the deadliest attack on Saudi soil in more than a decade and a sharp escalation in the Yemen war.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu condemned the attack and offered condolences to the victims’ families.

The airport terminal was closed after the strike, and another attack was reported there on Sunday evening.

The reports do not say when the terminal will reopen.
