Audrey Niffenegger publishes a sequel to The Time Traveler’s Wife after 14 years

The Time Traveler’s Wife is about a couple whose lives are shaped by the husband’s involuntary time travel.

In Life Out of Order, their daughter Alba has the same condition and more control over it.

Niffenegger began writing the sequel in 2012, and it took 14 years to complete.

The novel explores dark political futures that she says now feel worryingly realistic.
