Amos Kipruto upsets Jacob Kiplimo to win Chicago Marathon
Kenya’s Amos Kipruto won the 2026 Chicago Marathon, beating defending champion Jacob Kiplimo of Uganda.
Kipruto finished in about 2:01, setting a personal best after placing second to Kiplimo in 2025.
Kiplimo led much of the race, but Kipruto stayed with him and took the lead in the closing stages.
