Japan considers November Tokyo summit with Vietnam on energy and security
Japan is considering hosting Vietnam’s president for talks in Tokyo in November.
The leaders may discuss helping Asian countries build oil reserves and securing supplies of rare earths and other critical minerals.
They are also expected to discuss security in the Indo-Pacific.
The talks matter as both countries face concerns about energy supplies and China’s growing influence.
