T.O.P’s 20-Year Fansite Closes as Agency Promises Better Fan Communication

T.O.P’s 20-Year Fansite Closes as Agency Promises Better Fan Communication

CHOIDOT, a fansite for singer and actor T.O.P, has ended operations after about 20 years.

The site said it could no longer continue because it felt T.O.P and his agency, TOPSPOT Pictures, ignored fans’ views and relied too much on their unpaid efforts.

It also said fans lacked clear official channels for questions during the release of T.O.P’s solo album, Another Dimension.

A planned fan exhibition for about 300 people was canceled after participation fell short, adding to the site’s financial burden.

The cancellation came around the time news emerged of T.O.P’s relationship with actress Nana, but the site said the closure was not simply about that news.

TOPSPOT Pictures apologized to fans for insufficient updates and communication.

The agency said it would listen more closely to fans and share plans for improving official communication once they are ready.
