BTS draws 151,500 fans to first Peru concerts in Lima
BTS held its first concerts in Peru on Oct.
7, 9 and 10 at Estadio San Marcos in Lima.
About 151,500 people attended the three shows, which were part of the group’s “Arirang” world tour.
Peru’s tourism ministry had forecast that more than 50,000 people would visit Lima for the concerts.
It projected tourism-related economic benefits of about 25.1 billion won, or $19 million.
The forecast reflects the expected boost to tourism and the local economy from visitors attending the shows.
BTS is continuing its South American tour with concerts in Santiago, Chile, on Oct.
14, 16 and 17.
The group is then scheduled to perform in Buenos Aires and São Paulo.
