Istanbul plans 2027 support payments for retirees and families

Istanbul’s municipal government has announced a set of support programs for 2027.

It plans to give 100,000 retirees 4,000 lira for each of two holidays.

It also plans annual rent payments for 100,000 low-income retirees who rent their homes.

The programs are intended to help residents facing everyday costs.
