Bela resists the demon in the horror film Other Mommy

Other Mommy is a supernatural horror film starring Jessica Chastain.

It follows eight-year-old Bela, who sees an entity that looks like her mother and calls it Other Mommy.

The entity is a demon that wants to enter Bela’s heart and take on human life, but it needs her permission.

As it threatens the family, Bela’s parents take her to relatives and seek help from paranormal investigators, but they cannot stop it.

At home, Bela’s mother, Ursula, reveals that she never wanted to be a mother and that Bela’s father is not her biological father.

Bela is tempted by the demon’s promise to end her pain, but remembers that pain is part of being alive and refuses to let it in.

Months later, Bela and her parents appear to be rebuilding their relationship, though signs of Ursula’s unhappiness leave their future uncertain.
