MJ Lenderman Debuts Six Unreleased Songs at Durham Festival
MJ Lenderman returned to the stage at the Good Moon festival in Durham, North Carolina, after five months without a concert.
The free Saturday show was moved indoors to Bay 7 because of bad weather.
Lenderman performed six songs that have not been released, including “Apples” and “LLT,” which appear to have been played live for the first time.
He opened with a cover of Vic Chesnutt’s “Gravity Of The Situation.”
Instead of his usual band, the Wind, he was joined by past collaborators Tanner York, Brad Cook and Colin Croom.
Some of the songs had already been performed during his tour with Waxahatchee.
Attendees said Lenderman gave away his longtime guitar at the end of the set, but a person who received it said his team later asked for it back.
