NH NongHyup launches one-year deposit with rate of up to 3.9%
NH NongHyup Bank in South Korea has launched a special deposit to mark the 10th anniversary of its NH All One Bank service.
The 12-month deposit offers a base rate of 3.65% a year before tax, with bonuses that can raise it to 3.9%.
All customers receive a 0.1 percentage-point bonus, and customers who have not held a NongHyup Bank deposit or savings account in the past six months can receive another 0.15 points.
Customers can deposit from 100,000 won to 1 billion won through NH All One Bank.
The offer runs until Nov.
30, or until deposits reach the 5 trillion won limit, and is sold on a first-come basis.
South Korean banks have been raising deposit rates to compete for customer funds, and Shinhan Bank has also launched a deposit offering up to 4% under certain conditions.
NH NongHyup Bank launched a one-year deposit offering an annual rate of up to 3.9%.
The deposit marks the 10th anniversary of the NH All One Bank platform service.
It is available through NH All One Bank until November 30, subject to a 500 billion won sales limit.
Customers can deposit from 100,000 won to 1 billion won.
The rate combines a 3.65% base rate with up to 0.25 percentage points in bonus interest.
