Woori Bank gives 10 million won to military remains recovery agency

Woori Bank donated 10 million won to South Korea’s Ministry of National Defense Agency for KIA Recovery and Identification.

The bank’s chairman and other officials visited the agency at the Seoul National Cemetery on October 12.

The donation is intended to support the welfare of agency staff and the unit’s development.

The agency works to identify the remains of people killed in war, including through DNA analysis.

Woori Bank officials toured its identification center and paid tribute to those who died for the country.

In August, the bank and the agency held an exhibition of personal belongings and photographs of Korean War dead.

The bank says it will continue supporting efforts to remember and honor those who died serving the country.
