Mike Flanagan’s Carrie Adaptation Updates the Setting and Changes the Ending

This version of Carrie takes place in a modern high school, where bullying spreads through social media.

Carrie has been homeschooled and starts attending school after her father dies.

The ending also changes: Carrie and her mother survive when their house collapses after prom.

The story explores how bullying and fear can affect young people today.
