Iain Armitage and Co-Stars Reflect on the Demands of Young Sheldon
Young Sheldon, a CBS comedy about the childhood of Sheldon Cooper, ended in May 2024.
Iain Armitage played Sheldon throughout the show’s seven seasons, beginning when he was eight years old.
In a new book about the series, cast members describe the pressures of filming while Armitage and his onscreen sister, Raegan Revord, were also going to school.
Armitage said the role was a big undertaking for a child and that he did his best, though children are not always perfect.
Annie Potts, who played Meemaw, said he could sometimes be difficult, but noted that the demands placed on him would challenge an adult.
Revord said the two sometimes argued, as siblings might, during long workdays.
Jessica Radloff’s oral history of the show is due out October 20.
