Vayona Energy unveils 5 MW wind turbine platform in Chennai

The new turbine platform has a 5 MW capacity and a 193-metre rotor.

Vayona says it is being designed to capture wind in a range of Indian conditions, including areas with weaker winds and high temperatures.

The company is developing it with German firm Aerovide and plans to use an Indian supply chain for major components.

The platform could give wind projects another option as India expands renewable energy.
