France suspends stun grenades at youth protests pending Lens inquiry

Laurent Nuñez is France’s interior minister and oversees public order.

He said stun grenades would be suspended at youth protests until the Lens case is clarified.

A teenager lost a hand in that incident.

Nuñez also said police do not intervene when students protest peacefully, and called claims of a crackdown excessive.
