José Elías says outdated farm jobs deter young workers

José Elías says many farm jobs still involve long hours and physically demanding work.

He argues that this puts young people off and that farms should invest in modern equipment and safer working conditions.

His own strawberry farms use raised crops and climate-controlled greenhouses to reduce strain on workers.

He says modernising farms could help bring in new workers and support food production in Spain.
