Ektaa Kapoor confirms The Dirty Picture sequel is in development
Producer Ektaa Kapoor has confirmed that The Dirty Picture 2 is in development.
The original film, released in 2011, starred Vidya Balan and was inspired by South Indian actress Silk Smitha.
It explored a woman who challenged social conventions around sexuality and faced judgment for her choices.
Kapoor says she has now found a story she wants to tell and that the sequel will again centre on a woman.
