Autopsy confirms Nana Patekar died of a heart attack caused by a blood clot

Actor Nana Patekar died at age 75 in Goa on October 8.

He became unwell at his home in Dona Paula, near Panaji, and his caretaker requested an ambulance.

Doctors tried CPR for about 45 minutes, but he could not be revived and was declared dead at 5:10 a.m.

An autopsy at Goa Medical College and Hospital confirmed that he had a heart attack.

A blood clot had blocked the left main coronary artery, which supplies blood to a large part of the heart.

The report classified his death as natural and linked the clot to coronary artery disease, in which fatty deposits narrow the arteries.

His son took his body to Maharashtra, where Patekar was cremated with full state honours.
