ERC says it will demand more in any new Sánchez investiture talks
Ester Capella, ERC’s spokesperson in Catalonia’s parliament, said the party would ask for more if it negotiates to back Pedro Sánchez as Spain’s prime minister again.
She said ERC would seek the highest possible terms if there is a majority for a new investiture.
Capella also urged the current government to complete transfers that are still possible, including the R1 Rodalies rail line, whose transfer was being finalized.
She said an early election had prevented progress on a new system for regional funding.
The election has also suspended many agreements made with the Socialists to secure Salvador Illa’s investiture as Catalonia’s leader.
Capella said the early vote affects the Catalan legislature and that ERC would assess what it can still advance on its own.
The article does not say when any new talks would take place.
