Pakistan withdraws from Asian Champions Trophy in India

Pakistan will not play in the Asian Champions Trophy, which is due to start later this month in India.

The team said it did not receive government clearance to travel, and the hockey federation had asked for a neutral venue.

Bangladesh has replaced Pakistan in the tournament.

The withdrawal is another instance of a Pakistan hockey team pulling out of a competition in India.
