BTS’s RM says hotel crowding warning was meant for fans worldwide

BTS leader RM addressed criticism of a social media post about fans gathering outside the group’s hotel in Peru.

He had urged fans not to visit the hotel, saying the crowds and noise were disturbing hotel staff and guests.

Videos shared online showed dense crowds outside the hotel, with loud screaming and lasers pointed at rooms.

Some fans in Peru and elsewhere in South America felt RM had singled out their region and accused him of xenophobia.

At BTS’s second concert in Lima on October 9, RM said his warning applied to fans around the world, noting that similar incidents had happened in Europe and the United States.

He said BTS would not discriminate based on nationality and asked fans to avoid divisive arguments.

His response was welcomed by some fans, while others criticized him for speaking about this issue but remaining silent about his association with Chris Brown.
