Kostecki’s signed Townsville burnout wheel goes up for charity auction

A damaged wheel and tyre from Brodie Kostecki’s Townsville 500 victory burnout is up for auction.

Kostecki celebrated his July win with a burnout that scraped the concrete wall, drawing cheers from the crowd.

Kostecki and team owner Dick Johnson signed the memorabilia, which comes with three photographs of the incident.

All proceeds will go to Motorsport Ministries, and the auction has no buyer’s premium.

The organisation provides practical, emotional and spiritual support to people involved in Australian motorsport.

The auction is live through Lloyds Auctions, with 16 items available.

The PPQ Legends Night will be held at the JW Marriott Gold Coast Resort & Spa on October 23 during the Gold Coast 500 weekend.

I have the winner’s trophy and it is cool that one fan will have such a significant piece of memorabilia from that day.
