NexPhone shipments delayed to March 2027 over antenna issues

The team behind the NexPhone now expects to ship the phone to preorder customers in March 2027, rather than November 2026.

It says antenna interference required design changes, antenna-board revisions and new prototypes, along with other build-quality tweaks.

The NexPhone is designed to run Android, Windows 11 and Debian Linux through Android, making support for several operating systems a key feature.

It now runs Android 17, and its desktop mode has gained tools such as a recycle bin and a two-pane file view.

Rising memory costs mean the final retail price may exceed the current $599 preorder price, but existing preorder prices are locked.

The team says it is still working on Windows drivers and refining Debian Linux, with shipments now targeted for March 2027.
