Korea Eximbank commits 500 million won to support young people in crisis

Korea Eximbank will provide 500 million won to support young people facing difficult circumstances in South Korea.

The funding is intended for young people who care for family members and those who are socially isolated or withdrawn.

It will help cover care-related costs, including medical expenses, and pay for tailored education programs.

The bank agreed to the plan with the Central Social Service Agency and the children’s charity ChildFund Korea.

The Central Youth Future Center, which opened in July and is run by the agency, supports young people in crisis.

The partners will work together to identify people who need help and connect them with support.

The bank says it plans to expand its social contribution work to help people achieve economic independence.
