Global energy leaders to meet in Riyadh from October 11 to 15

Saudi Arabia will host a week of international energy meetings in Riyadh from October 11 to 15, 2026.

The events will bring together government officials, energy company leaders, international organizations and experts.

The week opens with a ministerial meeting of the International Energy Forum on energy security and shared goals.

The World Petroleum Congress then runs from October 12 to 15, and Saudi Arabia is hosting it for the first time in its more than 90-year history.

Participants are expected to discuss risks to oil and gas supplies, investment, electricity demand, clean energy and the use of artificial intelligence in the energy sector.

Tensions around the Strait of Hormuz have raised concerns about supply routes and infrastructure; Saudi Arabia’s East-West oil pipeline carries oil to the Red Sea port of Yanbu, bypassing the strait.

The meetings will also address how countries can coordinate to support stable markets and long-term investment.
