Saudi Energy Minister Calls Riyadh a Center of Energy Security

Saudi Energy Minister Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman called Riyadh a center of energy security at the opening of a ministerial meeting of the International Energy Forum.

The meeting took place in Riyadh at the start of Energy Week.

He said energy security depends on countries working together and that in-person meetings help them discuss concerns and build practical cooperation.

He said Saudi Arabia would continue its plans and meet its commitments to the world in all circumstances.

He pointed to the East-West pipeline, which links production areas in eastern Saudi Arabia with export facilities in Yanbu on the Red Sea.

The pipeline offers an alternative route for Saudi oil to reach international markets.

Bin Salman also said the kingdom was working on different pipeline routes and hoped its commitments in this area would become clearer soon.
