AvtoVAZ CEO says Lada Iskra will rank among Russia’s top 10 cars in 2026
AvtoVAZ CEO Maxim Sokolov says the Lada Iskra will be one of Russia’s ten best-selling car models by the end of 2026.
The Iskra is made by Russian automaker AvtoVAZ.
Its serial production began on April 19, 2025, and sales started on July 18 that year.
The model comes as a sedan, a station wagon and a raised station wagon called the SW Cross.
In September 2026, 3,400 Iskras were sold in Russia, 35.8 times the number sold in September 2025.
From January through September 2026, sales reached 25,200, and the car ranked eighth among new passenger-car models.
Those figures put it within the top ten so far, but the year-end ranking is still to come.
AvtoVAZ CEO Maxim Sokolov said the Lada Iskra will rank among Russia’s ten best-selling car models by the end of 2026.
He made the prediction during a session at the PromSpace National Industrial Congress.
Avtostat data cited by TASS show the model ranked eighth among new passenger cars in Russia in September 2026 and over the first nine months of the year.
Sales reached 3,400 vehicles in September and 25,200 over the nine-month period.
Serial production began in April 2025, and sales started in July 2025.
