APC names Wike, Adeleke and Soludo as 2027 campaign coordinators
Nigeria’s APC named Wike, Adeleke and Soludo as campaign coordinators for the 2027 presidential election.
The three politicians belong to other parties: Nyesom Wike is in the PDP, Ademola Adeleke won re-election under the Accord Party, and Chukwuma Soludo is in APGA.
Wike will coordinate the campaign in Rivers State and the Federal Capital Territory, while Adeleke will lead in Osun and Soludo in Anambra.
The appointments cross party lines as the APC prepares to campaign for President Bola Tinubu’s re-election.
Tinubu will chair the council, with Vice-President Kashim Shettima as vice-chairman.
The expanded list also names all 32 APC governors as campaign coordinators in their states, while party candidates will lead in some states where the APC does not hold the governorship.
Tinubu is expected to inaugurate the expanded council in Abuja on Wednesday.
